A Beautifully Refined Citrus Botanical
Bergamot FCF Essential Oil is carefully extracted from the peel of the bergamot fruit (Citrus bergamia).
It is loved for its fresh citrus aroma with soft floral and slightly sweet notes, making it a favourite amongst perfumers and formulators alike.
The FCF (Furanocoumarin-Free) version has been specially processed to remove naturally occurring compounds known as furanocoumarins, making it a thoughtful choice for leave-on skincare formulations.
Why I Love It
I chose Bergamot FCF because it offers the beautiful character of Bergamot while being better suited for the type of skincare I enjoy creating.
Rather than simply choosing an ingredient because it is popular, I believe it is important to understand the different versions available and select the one that best complements the formulation.
To me, thoughtful formulation is often found in these small but important decisions.
