Black Seed Oil

What it is

Black seed oil is a botanical oil cold-pressed from the seeds of Nigella sativa, a flowering plant native to parts of Asia, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe. It has been valued for centuries in traditional cultures and is widely used in modern cosmetic formulations.

Naturally occurring constituents

  • Linoleic acid (Omega-6 fatty acid)
  • Oleic acid (Omega-9 fatty acid)
  • Palmitic acid
  • Stearic acid
  • Tocopherols (Vitamin E)
  • Phytosterols
  • Thymoquinone (a naturally occurring compound found in black seed oil)
  • Naturally occurring antioxidants

Why Skin Century chose it

We chose black seed oil for its rich and distinctive composition, combining essential fatty acids, naturally occurring antioxidants, and plant compounds in a beautifully balanced botanical oil. It contributes to the luxurious feel of our formulations while reflecting our philosophy of selecting thoughtfully researched ingredients with purpose.
